Welcome!

Since 2005 I've been an advocate against illegal counterfeit designer handbags and accessories. Through the work I've done and passion I have to see the world rid of counterfeits, I've gathered several resources shared by a countless number of wonderful individuals who are also fighting the fight. I decided to publish the resources for all to see. A one-stop shop of sorts. To learn a little more about who I am, please visit the About page.

This site is constant work in progress. I plan to share links to essential web sites in order for visitors to learn what to look for in various designer handbags with the goal of keeping them from getting scammed by an unscrupulous seller. In the event you are scammed either from a web site offering counterfeit merchandise as authentic, eBay or other online auction sites (iOffer and Overstock auction are the WORST!), visitors will know who to contact for assistance, include law enforcement.

Remember...knowledge IS power. You owe it to yourself to be properly protected when you are looking to spend your hard earned money on a beautiful handbag. Do NOT buy hastily since buyers remorse kicks in quickly. Impulse buying typically means you lose since you will likely fall prey to a counterfeit seller since oftentime the price is too good to be true. This is a huge red flag. Use your newly found knowledge wisely and by all means ask others for their opinion. There are three widely utilized forums on my Online Resources page. These forums are filled with extremely bright and knowledgeable people ready and willing to render an opinion. PLEASE consider using these sources before bidding or purchasing.

Because this site is a constant work is progress if there are other resources that need to be listed I encourage visitors to please email me. I will add them once they have been reviewed. Thank you!

October 27, 2007 -- Just Say NO to Coach

Just say NO to Coach ... I'm asking every purse fanatic who reads this site to no longer buy products from Coach retail stores or outlets. Over the past 12-16 months Coach corporate has been passing along "banned for life" letters to those who resell on eBay. This practice has effectively eliminated all my favorite Coach sellers. Furthermore, the manner in which Coach issues their "banned for life" letter is highly humilating to those receiving them.

The final straw was when Coach deemed an authentic item as counterfeit. It is obvious they have no clue what their own authentic merchandise looks like. This scenario happened to very well respected eBay seller of authentic Coach merchandise after she was reported by counterfeit seller.

Here's an excellent editorial about this practice that is well-written and insightful.

When all is said and done Coach may have "banned for life" a large number of eBay sellers, however, by doing so they have effectively sent the message to many of us that they do not value our business and prefer using humiliating practices to make their point. So, from this longtime Coach customer I want Coach to know that they have been "banned for life" from my purse closet. The door swings both way Coach. And...who needs or wants poor quality items from China?

February 7, 2008 -- Authentic-Luxury is HERE!

As most people are aware eBay has made some radical changes to their site & terms of service recently, most of it to the buyer's advantage and little for the seller. As an occasional seller I'm appalled by these changes. As a buyer I'm saddened by the fact that eBay will chase away those I love to buy from. The justifiable fear is that sellers are now poised to be ripped off by buyers. Naturally, this has several sellers livid and afraid. Their profit margins aren't big enough to take significant losses. Several sellers are leaving, including authentic handbag sellers. I would like to invite everyone to visit Authentic Luxury. Not only will buyers have a positive buying experience, they can rest assured that they will receive authentic merchandise from this brand new auction site that has been several months in the making. Sellers will have an opportunity to build a customer base and get in at the ground level. Fees are very reasonable.

Every seller undergoes ridge due diligence by the staff of Authentic Luxury. As an additional service Authentic Luxury has an authentication service available. The experts will evaluate handbags and accessories bought on eBay and supply a letter of non-authentication to companies like PayPal or their credit card company should item be declared counterfeit.
